Marty Seifert, Republican minority leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives, discusses the state budget deficit and his vision for Minnesota at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute.
Seifert represents Minnesota House District 21A. He was first elected in 1996, and served as Majority Whip starting in 1999. When Republicans lost control of the House after the 2006 election, Seifert took over leadership of the Republicans in the chamber.
