Famous duos have made a splash on American music history over the decades. The Louvin Brothers, The Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Ike and Tina Turner...even Abbott and Costello come to mind.
It seems like each part of a duo is a powerful performer in his/her own right, but the sound is transformed with the artistry of a second person.
Radio Heartland decided to celebrate musical teamwork with our first live concert, "The Power of Two: Duos Concert."
The concert took place at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul in March 2009 with some of our favorite duos: Karen Savoca and Pete Heitzman from upstate New York, Lou and Peter Berryman from Wisconsin, and Chris Cunningham and Johnny Hermanson from Montana and Minnesota, respectively, who make up Storyhill.
