The Minnesota Vikings reportedly want to find out just how serious Brett Favre is about retirement this year.
ESPN is reporting the quarterback is scheduled to meet with Vikings coach Brad Childress at an undisclosed location later this week.
The longtime Packers quarterback retired this winter for the second time after spending last season with the New York Jets.
Both he and his agent said previously this spring that Favre intended to stay retired, much like they did before he reported to Packers camp last year.

There's been no comment from Vikings spokesman Bob Hagan.
Childress said last weekend that the Vikings would discuss Favre's availability after he was granted his release by the Jets.
Even Gov. Tim Pawlenty is weighing in on the prospects of Favre becoming a Viking.
"Clearly, if you brought Bret Favre into Minnesota, it would raise interest, and from a fan standpoint it would be a fun start to the season," said Pawlenty.
But Pawlenty also said that even the prospect of a Hall of Fame quarterback won't revive the prospects for public funding of a new Vikings stadium anytime soon.
"No, I don't think we make stadium decisions based on one player," he said.
The Vikings have a lease that requires them to play in the Metrodome through 2011. Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has been lobbying state and local officials for the past few years to help fund a new stadium for the team.
