A group of advocates for victims of sexual abuse by clergy is holding a protest outside a weekend reunion at a former seminary of the Catholic order of Crosiers in Onamia.
The former Crosier Seminary is holding an all-school reunion Saturday. The Crosier Seminary school in Onamia was established in 1922 and closed in 1989, though there is still a small Crosier community in Onamia.
The group holding the protest and vigil is the Minnesota chapter of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, or SNAP. The group contends that several Minnesota Catholic dioceses have not acted on allegations of abuse by members of the Crosier order in Minnesota.
