AAA: Gas price down 9 cents since last week

Minnesota gasoline prices are down about 9 cents over the past week to an average of $2.48.
That's just below the national average of $2.53.
A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts the statewide average Monday at $1.33 per gallon lower than last year at this time. In fact, the highest recorded average was July 16, 2008, when the statewide average gas price was $3.98.
AAA says the most expensive price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Duluth-Superior metro area where it's $2.44 a gallon. The lowest average can be found in the St. Cloud metro area at $2.31.
The statewide average for diesel is $2.51, down from $4.69 a year ago.
