Each week Minnesota Public Radio News asks three people from the Minnesota arts scene to be "Art Hounds." Their job is to step outside their own work and hunt down something exciting that's going on in local arts.
Find out how you can be an art hound.
This week:
Clarence Wethern is an actor in the Twin Cities. Clarence is a huge fan of improv comedy, particularly as it's practiced by the four groups who perform every week in "Improv A Go-Go".

The groups compete using long-form improv, which is like inventing an entire play on the fly. Improv A Go-Go happens at the Brave New Workshop Theater in Minneapolis on Sunday nights at 8. Admission is a $1.

Doug Padilla is a painter, curator, and art impressario in Minneapolis. Doug strongly recommends a trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to satisfy one's cultural cravings.
Padilla especially enjoys the tranquility of the MIA on a late Wednesday afternoon, when the museum is virtually empty and you have artistic treasures of the ages pretty much to yourself.

Jill Bernard is a Twin Cities-based improv artist. Jill likes to shake off her Minnesota reserve with the help of "Southside Aces," a New Orleans-style jazz combo from Minneapolis. She says the group plays frequently in New Orleans and has been endorsed by its elder peers in the Big Easy.
Southside Aces has a gig at the Nomad World Pub in Minneapolis this Sunday at 5pm.
