Storms delay reopening of Crosstown interchange ramp

Weekend weather has delayed the reopening of a ramp on Interstate 35W, according to officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The ramp from northbound I-35W to westbound Highway 62/58th Street will reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
It was supposed to reopen on Monday, officials said.
During the closure, motorists will not be able to access westbound Highway 62 from southbound Highway 121/Lyndale Ave.
Motorists will, however, be able to access southbound I-35W from southbound Highway 121/Lyndale Ave.
The roadwork is part of the I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project. Crews will be completing additional drainage work before beginning the concrete paving of the Highway 121 loop to westbound Highway 62.
Motorists should follow the posted detour routes along I-35W at 66th Street, west to Penn Avenue, north to Highway 62 West.
