Portions of the light rail line in the Twin Cities metro area will be closed for construction this weekend.
The 38th St. Station will be closed starting at 9 a.m. Friday and will reopen at 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to Metro Transit officials.
Trains will pass through the station during this time, but riders will not be able to board or exit trains, officials said.
Trains will operate normally throughout the rest of the 12-mile line.

The station will be closed while crews perform maintenance on the edges of the platform at the station and replace yellow warning pavers.
Riders headed to or from the 38th St. Station should use Route 55 buses that will travel between the 38th St. and 46th St. stations during the construction.
For service to the 38th St. Station, riders should exit trains at the 46th St. Station and board a Route 55 bus at Gate A, officials said.
Authorities say buses will operate more frequently than trains, but bus trips will take longer than train rides.
Metro Transit officials will be at the affected stations to direct passengers to replacement bus service.
