Minnesota has a new ambassador for its dairy industry.
Eighteen-year-old Elizabeth Olson of Hutchinson was crowned Wednesday night as Princess Kay of the Milky Way at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
By tradition, Olson will have her likeness carved into a 90-pound block of butter.
Olson is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities where she's majoring in animal science. She represented McLeod County. Her sister, Sarah Olson, was Princess Kay in 2002.
The Minnesota State Fair begins its 12-day run today.
