Northwestern College in Roseville is planning a major new campus building that will be named in honor of evangelist Billy Graham.
The Billy Graham Community Life Commons will serve as a central campus gathering place for the Christian school. The 70,000-square-foot building will include new dining facilities, a campus store, classrooms, study lounges, student gathering spots and meeting rooms.
Graham served as president of Northwestern College from 1948 to 1952, and the school served as home to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association from 1950 to 2004. The new facility will be the first building in the Twin Cities to be named for Graham.
A construction groundbreaking will be held on Oct. 2.
