Unemployed and uninsured residents of the Twin Cities metro area may soon be able to get free seasonal vaccines from CVS Caremark pharmacies.
CVS President Larry Merlo and state Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Dan McElroy are scheduled to annouce the details of the progam late Thursday morning.
The effort is part of CVS Caremark's nationwide campaign to provide $3 million in free flu shots to unemployed Americans across the country.
Merlo is in Minnesota to mark the opening of the 7,000th CVS pharmacy store in Little Canada. The company has more than 40 stores in the state.
