Two of five charges have been dismissed for a Rochester police officer accused of tipping off drug dealers and taking money to deliver narcotics.
Vanessa Mason is still charged with one felony count of warning a subject of a surveillance and two misdemeanor counts of misconduct by a public officer. Mason's attorney is working to have the remaining charges dismissed as well.
A Rochester man who's serving a jail sentence has retracted his story that he helped Mason transport drugs last year. Richard Dalton says he felt pressured by investigators to cooperate. He said he doesn't even know Mason, despite what he had said previously.
Mason was put on administrative leave last April.
