They came from Iowa. They met in Arizona. They live in the Twin Cities, and their latest record got a good review in Rolling Stone. They're The Pines, David Huckfelt and Benson Ramsey.
In 2004 they released their debut album on Trailer Records and have since honed their songwriting and arrangements and have added bass and drums to most of their music. "Tremolo" is their second album on St. Paul's Red House Records.
David and Benson, along with J.T. Bates and James Buckley, stopped by the studio to play on Radio Heartland.
Songs performed: "Skipper And His Wife", "Spike Driver Blues" and "Lonesome Tremolo Blues."
