Wearing a mask apparently didn't stop a former employee from being recognized during a robbery at a Culver's restaurant in Marshall.
The complaint says a Culver's employee began to suspect 28-year-old Matthew Landis of Marshall about 15 seconds into the robbery, because of how the suspect talked and his build. Landis used to work at the restaurant.
Landis is accused of entering Culver's with a baseball bat before it opened Saturday, then forcing the lone employee to give him money from the safe.
Landis and 25-year-old Terry Fedde (FED'-ee) of Amiret, who allegedly was waiting in a car, are charged with aggravated robbery. Landis also is charged with fleeing a peace officer after running into a cornfield, where he was found after a search.
