A funeral will be held Tuesday for a Minnesota National Guard soldier killed in Afghanistan.
Spc. George W. Cauley of Walker died Oct. 10, three days after being wounded when insurgents attacked his vehicle with a homemade bomb in Helmand province.
Cauley graduated from Northland High School in Remer in 2003. The 24-year-old was a heavy vehicle operator and a member of the 114th Transportation Company "Wolfpack."
His funeral will be held at Camp Ripley Memorial Chapel in Little Falls. Cauley will be buried with full military honors at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty has ordered flags at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota lowered to half-staff Tuesday in Cauley's honor.
