The news that a government task force has changed its recommendations for breast cancer screening has caused some confused reaction from women.
The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force says that -- based on research -- most women should wait until age 50 to start getting mammograms every two years. Previously, the recommendation was to screen for breast cancer annually beginning at age 40.
Dr. Jon Hallberg stopped by All Things Considered to give his clinical reaction to the change.
