Richfield Police Chief Barry Fritz will be in Washington on Wednesday as federal authorities announce results of an operation targeting gangs with ties to drug trafficking groups.
Assistant Secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement John Morton will announce the results of Project Big Freeze - a nationwide gang operation.
Minnesota was one of the locations included in the operation and the Richfield police department was a participating agency.
Fritz is scheduled to be one of the speakers at the announcement at ICE headquarters. The news conference is at 9:30 a.m. Central time.
