Local, state and federal law enforcement will be holding a mock terrorism incident on Saturday morning in Minneapolis as part of a training exercise.
The exercise will see how well Minneapolis police and other agencies are prepared for a possible terrorism incident in the Twin Cities.
Target Corp. is hosting the exercise at its headquarters - to give officers a chance to train in a realistic environment.
The training will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Starting at 6 a.m., some areas around Target Plaza North will be closed, including 10th Street between Marquette and La Salle Avenues and some of the surrounding sidewalks. Several parking meters in the area will be hooded and buses will be detoured.
The public should expect to see a large volume of emergency vehicles in the area during the exercise.
