Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Walz started the year with a significant financial lead over his Republican challengers in Minnesota's 1st District.
Walz's fundraising report to federal regulators says he had more than $421,000 in the bank for his campaign at the start of the year.
Walz is serving his second term in Congress, with four Republican candidates competing to challenge him.
Fundraising reports from two hadn't been posted on the Federal Election Commission Web site on Monday.
The two GOP candidates who filed reports trailed far behind Walz in funds. Former state Rep. Allen Quist had about $30,000 in the bank at the beginning of the year. He reported lending himself $4,000 last year.
State Rep. Randy Demmer of Hayfield had a bank balance of $10,000 on Jan. 1.
