A former employee of the Lake Superior School District in northeastern Minnesota is pleading guilty to an embezzlement from the district.
The Duluth News Tribune reports Monday that Sherry Rae Udenberg had reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in which she pleads guilty to one county of felony theft.
In exchange, counts of felony embezzlement of public money and felony forgery were dismissed. She appeared in Lake County District court Monday.
Udenberg was charged with embezzlement of an estimated $65,275 from the district from 2007 to 2009. Until October, she was a district financial assistant and food service coordinator.
