Crews had to cut through frozen ground and a metal pipe to free a teenager whose leg got stuck in Mora.
Seventeen-year-old AnneMarie Burton of Grasston was shoveling snow away from fire hydrants on Sunday when she felt her leg sink beneath her.
Burton thought she was stuck in snow, but her leg was stuck in an uncovered pipe.
She tells KSTP-TV that the people with her tried to help, but it "kept getting tighter."

Crews were able to saw through the pipe two hours after Burton got trapped, but the pipe was still stuck on her leg. She was taken to a hospital where vegetable oil was used to slide off the pipe.
Burton suffered a sprained foot. Investigators think the pipe was an old water or gas line.
