A fisherman was taken to a hospital after being swept into Lake Superior in Duluth.
Witnesses say the man was standing in the Lester River when he got caught up in the current Wednesday.
Other anglers tried to rescue him as he was swept into the lake. Two men in a boat went out and pulled the man back to shore, where fire department rescuers took over.
Assistant Fire Chief Erik Simonson tells the Duluth News Tribune "it was real close to being too late."
An ambulance took the man to a hospital.
