A Senate health committee has squelched a resolution urging Minnesota's congressional delegation to vote against the federal health care overhaul.
Sen. Julianne Ortman, R-Chanhassen, pulled back her proposal on Friday.
Her resolution would urge Minnesota's congressional members to oppose the health care overhaul and state Attorney General Lori Swanson to prepare to take legal action to block the changes.
Ortman asked that her legislation be set aside after the panel's chairman, Sen. John Marty, DFL-Roseville, proposed changing it to support the health care overhaul.
Marty is one of several Democrats running for governor.
