A bill untying the University of Minnesota's hands when it comes to selling booze at TCF Bank Stadium is drawing more attention from the Legislature.
The Senate Finance Committee was due to review the bill Monday. It would permit limited sales of alcohol, allowing the school to sell beer and other alcoholic drinks in premium seating areas.
The proposal reverses an all-or-nothing law passed last year, which ordered the university to sell alcohol throughout the new campus football stadium or not at all.
The university chose to ban alcohol as a way to keep it out of the student section.
The bill faces some resistance in the Minnesota House.
