Mother Teresa of Calcutta's rosary and sandals will briefly be displayed at the Cathedral of St. Paul.
A visiting mother superior from the Missionary Sisters of Charity will bring the items to the cathedral on Monday. There will be a one-hour viewing opportunity from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a special 7 p.m. Mass celebrated by the Rev. Lee Piche, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
The public is invited to view the relics and visit with the Missionary Sisters of Charity, who are carrying on Mother Teresa's work in the U.S. and 132 other countries.
Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity religious order in Calcutta, India in 1950. This August 26 is the 100th anniversary of Mother Theresa' birth.
