An Onalaska, Wisonsin priest has been charged with possessing child pornography.
The Rev. Patrick Umberger faces one felony count punishable by up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
State agents arrested the 59-year-old priest Wednesday. He is expected to make his initial court apperance later Thursday afternoon.
Umberger has served as pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Onalaska since 2005. According to his web site, he also teaches at the parish's school and serves as chaplain at Aquinas Middle School in La Crosse.
Diocese of La Crosse attorney Jim Birnbaum issued a statement Thursday saying Umberger will no longer be assigned any duties.
