Austin Police say a boy, 16, died after jumping from a moving vehicle while his mother was driving.
The Austin Daily Herald reports that the boy, who lived in Austin, died Thursday morning after jumping from the vehicle the night before. Police say his mother was driving at the posted speed of 30 mph at the time and that there was no foul play by her or the boy's sister, 13, who was also in the car.
Police say they are investigating what led the boy to jump. They report no immediate indication of medical or mental conditions on the boy's part.
