State officials say the recent flooding hasn't prompted many closures of state parks and recreation areas.
KSTP-TV reports that most of the state's 73 state parks and recreation areas and 21 state trails remain open.
The state Department of Natural Resources maintains an update of trail conditions on its website. You can find out which trails are accessible and where roads have been temporarily closed.
DNR director Courtland Nelson says the weather is improved and fall color is making its way across the state, so this is a good time for people to plan a hike, bike ride or overnight camping trip.
