No parties at U-Minnesota fraternities

MPR's Tim Post has this update -- with audio -- to the story of three recent sexual assaults at University of Minnesota fraternities.

He reports that fraternity leaders have put a so-called social moratorium in place. The move means no alcohol can be consumed at a frat house, if guests from outside the house are present. That essentially puts a halt to partying at university fraternities for the time being.

Interfraternity Council President Martin Chorzempa says that should give fraternities time to reevaluate their policies. He tells Post:

"What this is designed to do is essentially insure that we have no more distractions, no more allegations, no more difficulties in the coming weeks so we can focus on a lot of strategy and a lot of discourse with community in figuring exactly what we need to do to move forward."
