High-school students who are eyeing some of the state's private colleges will find that this month is a great time to visit campuses and get their vibe. Many are hosting special fall events and tours -- with varying degrees of registration -- so get in touch with the institutions for details.

Here's a list of what's going on this month, according to the Minnesota Private College Council.

Augsburg College

Education Minnesota Days Thursday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 22: Two sessions each day with the same content — 10–11:30 a.m. and 2–3:30 p.m. Education Wisconsin Days Thursday, Oct. 28 and Friday, Oct. 29: Two sessions each day with the same content — 10–11:30 a.m. and 2–3:30 p.m.
