Business at Cirrus Aircraft of Duluth is holding steady, despite struggles in the aviation industry.
Cirrus expects to ship about the same number of planes it shipped last year. The company shipped 268 planes in 2009. While that was the lowest number of shipments since 2001, Cirrus worldwide market share has grown.
Cirrus vice president of marketing, Todd Simmons, says the company's market share has grown from 28 percent in 2009 to 30 percent this year. Simmons says growing market share in a down market is "the right thing to do."
Simmons tells the Duluth News Tribune that as the industry rebounds, Cirrus' market hold should strengthen.
