Family and friends had an extra amount of patience as they waited at the St. Cloud armory for the 367th Engineer Battalion to return from duty overseas.

The 150 soldiers were delayed two hours Sunday, but the crowd of about 400 wasn't going anywhere. The battalion had been gone 334 days, so a couple more hours didn't matter.

Cindy Bruggenthies of Burtrum waited for her twin daughters, Andrea and Alicia to return from service in Iraq and Kuwait. She held both tightly when they arrived at the armory.

KARE-TV says the 367th worked overseas to construct and rebuild infrastructure. The unit also provided support services.
