WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has supporters in Minnesota.
They plan to deliver a letter to the British consulate in Minneapolis protesting Assange's possible extradition from Britain to Sweden. They say it could lead to Assange eventually being transferred to the United States to face charges.
They plan to hand off their letter Monday afternoon in an event that will include a demonstration and speakers. They say similar demonstrations are taking place in London and elsewhere.
U.S. officials have been angered by WikiLeaks' publication of diplomatic cables and secret U.S. military files.
