Two men are in custody after what appears to be a racially-motivated attack on a black man outside a central Minnesota bar.
The Brainerd Dispatch reports that while at the bar, an employee overheard Lucas Eastwood telling Travis Campbell that he wanted to assault Willie Navy because Navy is black.
Witnesses told police Navy was struck and kicked in the head by both suspects. He is hospitalized in stable condition, but may lose his vision.
Officers found Navy on the sidewalk in downtown Brainerd Sunday morning "mostly incoherent." The suspects, who had fled the scene, were arrested at a nearby residence.
