Ellen Sunshine tells the Minnesota Daily why Douglas Dokken, 60, punched Goldy twice after the University of Minnesota's mascot was "messing with him" -- tapping his shoulder and ruffling his hair at a gymnastics meet on Saturday:

“I know Goldy is all in fun, but he did kind of overstep a little bit. The way that Goldy was in his face would make anyone uncomfortable.”

(Goldy wasn't hurt, but the mask was damaged. Dokken was arrested at the end of the meet.)
