The Minnesota Lynx chose University of Connecticut forward Maya Moore in this year's WNBA draft, held Monday in Connecticut.
Moore is among the best women's college basketball players ever. She is the only three-time winner of the Wade Trophy, given every year to the best college player in the country.
She will join two-time Wade Trophy winner Siemone Augustus in the starting lineup when the Lynx take the floor at Target Center this June.
The Lynx also had the fourth pick and chose 6-5 forward Amber Harris of Xavier.
The key question now is whether the team can win. Tom Crann of All Things Considered talked to Cheryl Reeve, the Lynx head coach.
