Lake Superior College in Duluth has announced a new all-in-one swipeable card for students.
There's a lot in it. Check out what the colleges says is in it. I've put the items in bold:
Beginning November 21st, LSC students will receive a new student ID in the mail, called the “LSCPlus Card. The cards will serve as their official student ID, but will also work as a debit card that will carry any remaining student loan balances and work study/student employment payments. It’ll also function as a library card.
It sure sounds nifty. But to a scatterbrain like me it represents an all-your-eggs-in-one-basket tool that I'd surely have lost in college. Financial and bureaucratic hassle would have probably ensued.
But that's me.
