BRAINERD, Minn. (AP) -- It's a "go" for one of Minnesota's largest ice fishing tournaments
Officials for the Brainerd Jaycees' $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza have been issued a permit for the Feb. 11 event.
Crow Wing County sheriff's officials checked ice conditions on Gull Lake Thursday and found the ice was consistently past the minimum requirement of 16 inches to issue the permit.
Tournament officials say they found 17-22 inches of clear ice throughout the contest site.

However, no vehicles will be allowed on the lake for travel to and from the tournament area.
The tournament earlier was postponed from Jan. 21 because the ice was not thick enough. All pre-purchased tickets will be honored.
Contestants stand to win over $200,000 in prizes this year.
