Deadline near for Great American Think-Off

Time is running out if you want to enter this year's Great American Think-Off contest in Minnesota.

This year's question is a throwback to the first Think-Off question in 1993: "The Nature of Humankind — Inherently Good or Inherently Evil?" The question was never settled at that year's debate.

Contestants have until Sunday, April 1, to submit a 750-word essay for this year's contest. Four finalists will be notified May 1 and can defend their position June 9 at the Great American Think-Off in New York Mills.

Each finalist receives $500 and paid travel expenses to the event.

Essays can be submitted by mail, email or online.
