MnDOT to announce St. Croix bridge design firm

State transportation officials are expected to announce the name of the firm that will design the new St. Croix bridge between Minnesota and Wisconsin as early as today. The bridge between Oak Park Heights and St. Joseph in Wisconsin will replace the aging Stillwater Lift Bridge.

MnDOT is expected to award two contracts at this stage - one is for design and the other for peer review of the project.
