The only Olympic athlete with a Minnesota connection who will be competing today in London is Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love. He plays for the U.S. Mens basketball team, which takes on Tunisia in its next game.
Yesterday, the U.S. womens basketball team, featuring three Lynx players, trounced Angola 90-38. And the U.S. women's volleyball team with some Gopher connections beat Brazil three games to one.
