When the nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2013 were announced in October, the debate began. Who from the list should be inducted? Who was left off the list? Are pioneering hip-hop group Public Enemy and disco queen Donna Summer really considered Rock and Roll?
And for the first time in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's history, fans will have a say. Until Dec. 3, you can vote for which five acts you think should be inducted in the April ceremony.
Ann Powers, NPR music critic and correspondent, joined The Daily Circuit Tuesday to talk about the list. Mark Wheat, host on MPR's The Current, also joined the discussion.
