Efforts continue in Washington on striking a deal that would avert going over the so-called fiscal cliff. There are signs of compromise. Many Republicans who've long held to a no-tax increase pledge now say they're willing to look at raising revenue.
They want to reign in spending on programs like Medicare and Medicaid. One such Republican is Minnesota Rep. John Kline who speaks with MPR's Cathy Wurzer about the looming fiscal cliff.
