More electronic pull tab gambling vendors are likely to win approval when the Minnesota Gambling Control Board meets in Roseville this morning.
The agency is expected to approve licenses for a half-dozen firms looking to bring products to the pull tab market.
"Assuming the board approves one of the new vendors, we're also going to be considering their new games at the same meeting," said Tom Barrett, executive director of the agency.
Revenue from the games have fallen far short of the $100 million-a-month in sales that officials had hoped. They say its taking longer than expected to develop, approve and set up the new games.
Taxes on the games are expected to pay the state's $350 million share of a new billion-dollar Vikings stadium.
