In the winter, whole neighborhoods of fish houses sprout up on area lakes, but none is more popular, perhaps, than Mille Lacs Lake.

My friend, Alex Peterson, flew over a small portion of the lake yesterday and provided an example of how busy it is in January. He says there may be over 5,000 houses on the lake.
