The Fergus Falls High School Otters marching band will make its second consecutive inaugural parade appearance on Monday.
Director Scott Kummrow said the high school band raised $68,000 in a month to fund the trip. He said the Otters will play the same version of "Yankee Doodle Dandy" they played in the 2009 inaugural parade.
"That's actually an arrangement from a retired band director here in Fergus," Kummrow said. "What makes it unique is that a bands sings the second half of the piece. So we play the first half, and then we sing through the second half."
Kummrow said band members had to submit their birthdate, place of birth, Social Security number and a passport photo for a Secret Service background check.
