The Minnesota Department of Revenue still isn't sure flaws in Intuit's TurboTax tax preparation software have been fixed.
The state agency says it is awaiting confirmation that fixes are in place and have been fully tested. This past Monday, the department said Intuit's professional and consumer software has had about a dozen problems, ranging from a miscalculation for the credit for married couples to an error in figuring property tax refunds.
Taxpayers have been advised not to use TurboTax until the state is satisfied the software is working correctly.
The department said about 14,000 tax returns have been affected by the bad software. Intuit has insisted the software is repaired and returns filed now will be correct.
