MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Alan Page, a pro football Hall of Famer and Minnesota Supreme Court Justice, has written a children's book about his odd pinkie finger, which is permanently bent outward at a 90-degree angle.
A KARE-TV report says the book is called, "Alan and His Perfectly Pointy, Impossibly Perpendicular Pinky."
The former NFL MVP says the finger makes for a good story. He says children always ask what happened.
Page says the finger has been dislocated and reset several times. He says he remembers one time on the field when he injured the pinky and showed it to teammate Jim Marshall, a Vikings lineman who impatiently yanked it back into place.
The book will be released April 6. Proceeds will benefit the Page Education Foundation.
