Check out the view of the soon-to-be St. Croix Bridge between Minnesota and Wisconsin. MnDOT has cameras trained on the site, which is already under construction.
Crews are building the staging area for the bridge foundations on the Minnesota riverbank. They're also preparing for road construction on Highways 36 and 95.
Workers are also inspecting equipment barges are decontaminated before launching them into the river. Last week, MnDOT and contractor inspectors found dead zebra mussels, an invasive species, on six barges that were transported to the project site via truck. MnDOT notified the Department of Natural Resources and is working with them and the contractor to ensure processes will protect the St. Croix River.
