With just two weeks left in the legislative session, conference-committee negotiations will heat up on several key budget bills.
But most of the big differences between those House and Senate bills won't be resolved until DFL leaders can strike a deal with Gov. Mark Dayton on a big picture tax and spending plan. Another minimum wage vote is expected this week too, and lawmakers could finally be ready to take up the bill to legalize same-sex marriage.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with one of Minnesota Public Radio's Capitol reporters, Tim Pugmire, about the week ahead for state lawmakers.
